SHIPPING POLICY

At Security Shutter Ltd. (SSL), we are committed to ensuring your products are shipped efficiently, securely & transparently — with clear expectations every step of the way.

The following Shipping Policy outlines freight terms, delivery requirements, inspection responsibilities, oversized shipment guidelines & applicable charges associated with SSL product shipments.


FREIGHT ESTIMATES & PRICING

All freight estimates are based on:

✔ Shipment weight
✔ Shipment dimensions
✔ Delivery location
✔ Carrier requirements

Freight pricing is clearly outlined on your quotation as:

“Dock-to-Dock — FOB: Postal Code”

Final shipping charges, including:

✔ Freight
✔ Taxes
✔ Fuel surcharges
✔ Residential fees
✔ Special handling charges
✔ Additional carrier fees

will appear on your final invoice unless otherwise stated in writing.


INSPECTION UPON ARRIVAL

All shipments must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

Failure to properly inspect shipments & report damages within required timelines may void shipping-related claims.

Visible Damage

✔ Any visible damage, shortages or concerns must be reported immediately at the time of delivery.

Damage Claims

❌ Claims for damages not reported upon delivery cannot be processed.

Hidden Damage

✔ Hidden or concealed damage must be reported immediately upon discovery.

Customers are encouraged to photograph all shipment damage & retain packaging materials for carrier review if required.


WARRANTY REQUESTS

Any request for additional warranty coverage must be submitted before the shipment is scheduled for pickup.

Warranty coverage, shipping methods or shipment protection options cannot be modified once freight arrangements have been confirmed.

DELIVERY ATTEMPTS & WAIT TIMES

Carriers operate on scheduled delivery windows.

If a delivery driver is required to wait longer than fifteen (15) minutes during unloading or site coordination, the Customer is responsible for all additional wait-time or redelivery charges imposed by the carrier.

These charges are non-negotiable & will be billed accordingly.


DELIVERY HOURS & SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Standard delivery attempts occur between:

🕗 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Local Time)

If these delivery hours are not suitable:

✔ Alternate instructions must be provided before shipment scheduling
✔ Site access requirements must be communicated in advance
✔ Liftgate requirements must be disclosed prior to dispatch

Additional charges may apply for:

✔ Timed deliveries
✔ Residential deliveries
✔ Remote locations
✔ Special handling requests
✔ After-hours deliveries


DELIVERY LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

✔ Shipments must be delivered to an approved business address
✔ Customers are responsible for ensuring safe & accessible delivery conditions

Residential delivery is available upon request & may incur additional carrier fees.

SSL & freight carriers reserve the right to refuse unsafe or inaccessible delivery locations.


OVERSIZED SHIPMENTS

Certain SSL products require specialized freight handling due to size & weight.

Additional Freight Charges Apply For:

✔ Shipments exceeding 250 cm (8 ft) in length
✔ Oversized freight classifications
✔ Non-standard carrier handling requirements

Special Shipping Arrangements May Be Required For:

✔ Shipments exceeding 450 cm (15 ft) in length
✔ Large commercial systems
✔ International freight
✔ Custom crating requirements

Additional charges may apply.


OVERSIZED ORDERS & PALLETIZED FREIGHT

Large-volume or oversized orders may be shipped on pallets or specialized freight skids.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure appropriate:

✔ Personnel
✔ Equipment
✔ Vehicles
✔ Forklift access
✔ Site accessibility

are available at the time of delivery to safely unload & remove shipments from the transport vehicle.

Failure to prepare for unloading may result in additional carrier charges, storage fees or redelivery costs.


INTERNATIONAL & SPECIALTY SHIPPING

International shipping, remote delivery regions, customs documentation, duties, brokerage fees & import requirements may vary by country or jurisdiction.

Customers are responsible for:

✔ Import compliance
✔ Applicable duties & taxes
✔ Customs clearance requirements
✔ Local regulatory compliance

unless otherwise agreed to in writing by SSL.
